Batroc’s time in the Marvel Cinematic Universe appears to be far from over.

The mercenary played by Georges St-Pierre played a key role in The Falcon and The Winter Soldier, tormenting the titular superheroes. Batroc made his first MCU debut in Captain America: The Winter Soldier, and he was a big hit with fans, so he received a second chance in the 2021 series. Batroc looked to be shot down for good in the climax of The Falcon and The Winter Soldier. That does not appear to be the case.

“GSP” recently spoke with our sister publication Sherdog regarding Batroc’s future in the MCU, hinting that the villain may return sooner or later.

“He’ll be back 100 percent,” the Canadian star promised. “You know what I mean? He always comes in and out of things.” He’ll definitely return with a vengeance the following time. He’ll come his army, and he’ll be furious.”

St-Pierre, an Ultimate Fighting Championship Hall of Famer, has discussed the similarities between acting and fighting.

“I guess I’ve been acting my whole life because before every battle. “When you see me, I walk like I’m excited to see how I’m going to win the battle,” St-Pierre revealed. “I was putting on an act deep down inside.” I was terribly uncomfortable, worried, and horrified on the inside, but I did it anyhow. I believe I’ve been acting my entire life. Preparing for a scene and preparing for a fight are the same thing. You can rehearse your scene as much as you want, but when you get on set, you quickly realise that things aren’t going as planned are diametrically opposed. The reaction of the actor with whom you are playing may differ from what you imagined. The background is unique. In fighting, you can train as much as you want, but when you step into the ring, you quickly realise that your opponent is never exactly how you expected him to be. He’s never as good or as horrible as everybody else; he’s always unique.”

Among St. Pierre’s other credits are 2016’s Kickboxer: Vengeance and the recent Canadian series La Mélancolite.
