Death of Ada Ameh, one death too many! – Doyin Owobamirin
The death of the 48 year old Nollywood star Ada Ameh has been described as one death too many by American Based Artiste Director and Chairman Board of Trustees, Artistes Care Trust Foundation, Mr Doyin Owobamirin.
Speaking from his Chicago base, Mr Owobamirin frowned at the spate of death in the entertainment industry in Nigeria mainly as a result of preventable health issues. He decried the manner in which camps are created among artistes in Nigeria including musical and contemporary artistes. According to him its high time we unite and take the issues of artiste health and life seriously.
Artiste Care Trust Foundation, has come to address this trend. According to him the Trust Fund is a unique arrangement where every Artiste involved is contributing absolutely nothing and yet ensuring that they are covered whenever they run into the unfortunate health challenges or accident issues. All they need to do is just get enlisted for FREE and become part of this great movement.
Soon every Artiste will be enlightened more about ACT Foundation. He believes that the activities of ACT Foundation which other members of the BOARD included Dr. Tee Mac Isele MFR, Rakiya Atta Ibrahim, Uche Mac-auley, Julius Motajo and Ralph Nwafor who stands as uuthe Executive Secretary will address this issue head on.
He said Ada Ameh and other artistes that have bowed to death too soon would have lived on if their health challenges had been addressed on time. Mr Doyin Owobamirin condoles the family She left behind, the Nollywood industry and the entertainment industry in Nigeria for this loss.
In 2020, Ms Ameh lost her daughter, Aladi God gift, who was over 30 years old.
Her daughter died after an unsuccessful surgery in Abuja.
The actress said that life had not remained the same since her daughter’s death.
Just last month, Ms Ameh, in a post on social media, tearfully talked about an issue that was threatening her life and her mental health.
